My Farm Tutorial: Manage Your Tilapia Ponds and Cycles
Free for AR&C customers. Message or call us for your login.
What it gives you
- A list of your ponds, each with its own cycles.
- Logs for sampling, feed, losses, salinity, costs and harvest.
- Live figures for every cycle: ABW, daily gain, survival, biomass, FCR, spending and cost per kilo.
- Expense tracking for each pond, with receipts and dates.
- A pond report across all the cycles of each pond: volume, survival and FCR, cycle by cycle.
- An alert bell for things that need attention, such as a sampling that is due.
My Farm is the record book for your ponds, built into the Growout Tools. It is made to make ponds easier to manage, especially when you have many: at a glance you see each cycle's average weight, survival, FCR and cost per kilo, so you can decide early, before a small problem becomes a big one.
How to use My Farm, step by step
Open My Farm and log in
Go to arandcagriventures.com, tap Tilapia Tools, then My Farm. Log in with the account AR&C gave you.
Add a pond
Tap Add a pond. Give it a code, its area in square meters, and its status.
Start a cycle
Open the pond and tap Start a cycle. Enter the fingerlings stocked, their size and the price per piece.
Log a sampling
Every 14 days, weigh 30 fish and add it in the Sampling tab. The average weight updates straight away.
Log feed, losses and salinity
Add a feed row each time you buy, record any fish lost, and log salinity when you measure it.
Add other costs
Fuel, labor, repairs: add each in the Costs tab so the cost per kilo is real.
Log the harvest
Enter the boxes sold by size and the price per kilo. You can sell in stages.
Close the cycle
After the last harvest, tap Close cycle. The cycle joins the pond report with its survival, FCR and profit.
Start the next cycle and read the pond report
Stock the same pond again. The pond report compares every cycle side by side.
The example in the video
| Pond | P-1, 1,000 m², fresh water |
|---|---|
| Cycle 1 | 5,000 fingerlings at 2 g, ₱1.00 each |
| Harvest | 10 boxes of Big at ₱120/kg and 28 boxes of Med at ₱110/kg |
| Cycle 1 harvest | 950 kg in 126 days |
|---|---|
| Survival | 71% |
| FCR | 1.36 (Good) |
| Sales | ₱107,000 |
| Profit | ₱31,700 |
| After two cycles | 2,000 kg harvested, both cycles compared in the pond report |
How to read the result
The demo farm in the video is fictional, but the figures are worked out by the app exactly as they would be for your farm. After two cycles the pond report shows the totals for the pond and a chart you can switch between volume, survival and FCR, so you can see whether the second cycle did better than the first, and why.
